"Healing and growth are not one-size-fits-all — we'll move at your pace, honoring your experiences, strengths, and hopes for the future. I welcome creative expression into the therapy space as a way to honor all the ways we carry — and release — what we hold."

About Me

My name is Jessica Francar and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania.

I believe that healing is a creative, courageous act — one that we don't have to do alone.

In my work, I honor the many layers that shape who we are: our relationships, families, cultures, race and ethnicity, spiritual backgrounds, life experiences, and the larger systems we move through. I practice from a person-centered, feminist foundation, and weave together attachment theory, internal family systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic practices, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), always through a cross-cultural, strengths-based, trauma-informed lens. Above all, I believe that the relationship developed between the therapist and the client is the place where change and healing best occurs as you are able to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behavior in a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space.

I believe that therapy should honor your unique context — your history, community, and the environments that have shaped you. Additionally, for those wrestling with faith, spirituality, or identity, therapy can be a space to explore, to grieve, and to rebuild — without judgment.

In our work together, I strive to create a space where all parts of you are welcome. Healing and growth are not one-size-fits-all — we'll move at your pace, honoring your experiences, strengths, and hopes for the future.
I welcome creative expression into the therapy space as a way to honor all the ways we carry — and release — what we hold. It would be my honor to walk alongside you as you explore, heal, and move toward the life you envision for yourself.

My practice is deeply informed by years of working with refugees, displaced individuals, migrants, and survivors of war, conflict, gender-based violence, and human trafficking. I'm passionate about supporting survivors of violence and people who are navigating questions of culture, identity, belonging, and home — especially those who have crossed borders physically, spiritually, or emotionally. Having been shaped by multiple cultures myself and having lived and worked abroad, I know firsthand how complex and beautiful these journeys can be.
