About Me
My name is Jasmin Moyer, and I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor therapist in the state of Pennsylvania.
Healing is a radical act of self-empowerment. It’s about reclaiming your story, your power, and your voice. As a therapist, I create a space where women, queer individuals, those navigating postpartum challenges, and people healing from religious trauma can reclaim their stories with strength and self-compassion. My approach blends cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, feminist therapy, mindfulness, and justice-centered practices.
Whether you need support managing your emotions, navigating relentless worry, or re-writing a trauma narrative from your past, I am here to help. I am glad that you are here taking a major step in prioritizing your holistic health. Therapy can be challenging, stretching you to grow in places and ways that you never imagined that you would. That is also what makes it so rewarding! The magic of therapy is in the relationship that we will build. Together, we become a dynamic duo, bringing our gifts and skills to create rewarding possibilities. The opportunity to partner with you to overcome obstacles and reach your goals, is truly an honor.
At the foundation of our therapy sessions is an empathetic, affirming, and empowering relational approach. I use strengths-based approaches and practices that engage people holistically, considering the impacts of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I counsel from a perspective considering social, cultural, ethnic, racial and political contexts. I believe that therapy is about empowerment, how people live their lives, and engage in their contexts. I incorporate elements of Dialectical Behavioral therapy to assist with enhancing coping strategies and increasing tolerance to stress. I counsel from a perspective considering social, cultural, ethnic, racial and political contexts, and operate from an anti-oppressive, egalitarian world view.
Therapy with womxn transitioning into motherhood is also a particular interest of mine, and it would be an honor to partner with you in that journey. As a mother myself, I know how challenging the journey can be. Motherhood is full of constant adjustments. It can lead to us feeling stretched thin. You deserve to prioritize you too!

Questions about working with an LAPC? I understand! It makes sense that you want the best care for yourself as you pursue counseling. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have, and have put together a list of frequently asked questions below!
What is the difference between an LAPC and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)?
An LAPC such as myself has completed a master's degree in counseling just like an LPC. An LPC has met a series of requirements such as passing a licensure exam and obtaining a set number of supervised hours. I am in the process of obtaining my supervised hours toward licensure. LAPC's such as myself uphold the same ethical standards and continuing education standards as LPCs.
What does it mean that you are supervised, and how does this affect my care?
Being under the supervision of an LPC means that I obtain additional supervision than someone who is licensed may. While I work with you as the client, I am receiving supervision and feedback from a seasoned, licensed professional. You will have the opportunity to meet my supervisor in our initial session, and will also have their contact information as an additional line of support.
What are the benefits of seeing an LAPC?
In addition to having access to an additional provider through my supervisor, meeting with an LAPC offers several other benefits as well. In addition to accepting IBX, Cigna and Aetna insurances, I am able to offer reduced-fee sessions that can make therapy more affordable for those who need to pay out of pocket. I am also able to offer a fresh perspective stemming from the most recent counseling education and am passionate about being in the field and working with clients directly. I feel that this passion and energy affects my work in a way that positively impacts you as the client!
