"The relationship between therapist and client is one I am privileged to facilitate. To accompany someone through the process of healing...that's the beauty of therapy."

About Me

If you're scrolling through these pages, something in life has pushed you to decide to seek support-welcome. I'm so glad you're here!

I became a therapist because I am passionate about creating a safe space for others to share their story in order to promote healing.  Throughout my professional experience, one of the most helpful things I have learned (and continue to remind myself of) is that we are not alone in our struggles. Depression, anxiety, chronic health struggles, and pain are all really good at convincing us that we are. But that is a lie that only keeps us trapped and isolated.

Although I work with a wide variety of clients with struggles such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mood disorders, I have several areas of focus that I am passionate about. I especially love working with new parents who are struggling to adjust to the arrival of their little one(s) new moms who may be navigating postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, or rage, and new dads who find themselves in the thick of it with minimal support. With my background as a certified lactation counselor, I am also interested in the intersections between mental health and breastfeeding, and how birth trauma can both the mental health of mom and her feeding journey. Additionally, I am passionate about working with parents and adults who are struggling to manage their ADHD, or who may have been late diagnosed with ADHD and are re-learning themselves. Lastly, I specialize in providing support to those who struggle with chronic illnesses.

The therapeutic relationship is a unique one, centered around both technique and personality. Clinically, I pull from a variety of modalities including person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and emotion focused. In sessions I am collaborative, personable, and direct but compassionate. When needed, solution focused interventions can be helpful and included as well. In addition to my listed specialties, I am passionate about working with those who are interested in integrating their faith into the therapeutic space, and can provide Christian counseling if desired. I also have experience incorporating a variety of other spiritual and religious perspectives into therapy. I strive provide support in a non-judgmental atmosphere that feels real and authentic. I offer a personalized, laid back approach that helps to make therapy a comfortable experience. I'm not here to give advice or tell you how to live your life, but rather to provide you with coping skills that allow you to weather the storm more confidently.
